Happy opening day. OK, I'm a bit late, but I've been watching the ballgames and enjoying them. It's gonna be a long year for us Braves fans unless they find us a decent reliever, but in any event I'm optimistic about Division Title #15. I really don't see how the Mets rotation can hold it together long enough and the Phillies...well, you know.
So this season we let a bunch of Amazing Races stockpile on the DVR and we have been catching up with mini-marathons, which really seems like the bets way to watch the show except when I'm worried about getting spoiled. So we are now caught up and I've been reading some of the message boards, and I have to say that I really don't understand the general consensus about the hippies. They are by far my favorite team -- they are smart and they play the game well and their antics still amuse me, but most of all they seem to be enjoying themselves a lot and enjoying the locals, unlike so many Amazing Race teams before them. So I don't get all the animosity that people seem to have towards them.
Oh, and watching Phil dance was awesome.
Speaking of things I've been catching up on, I finally finished listening to the Ricky Gervais podcasts. And like the rest of the civilized world, I thought they were hilarious. I don't see myself paying for the new ones, but I will miss that Monkey News.
In general, I'm still swamped by work. And I've been sick, but I think I'm pretty much better now.
